How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?

Everything is roasted to order in Marcoola, usually the same week it ships. We don't hold roasted stock on a shelf waiting for orders.

Beans are at their best from about five days after roasting through to about six weeks. The roast date is on every bag.

Whole bean or ground?

Both. Choose your grind at checkout — espresso, filter, plunger or stovetop. If you're not sure, whole bean keeps longest, and grinding fresh makes more difference to the cup than almost anything else.

How should I store it?

Airtight, at room temperature, out of the light. Not the fridge and not the freezer — coffee takes on moisture and whatever else is in there.

What's the difference between your blends?

Flagship is the everyday all-rounder, Dictator is the darker and bolder one, Cubans sits in between with more spice, and the Decaf is Chiapas glacier-water processed. Each product page carries the full tasting notes.

What does hot air roasting actually do?

No drum, no contact with hot metal, so nothing scorches. Even heat right through the bean gives a cleaner, brighter cup with no bitter aftertaste.The full explanation is here.

Subscriptions

How much do I save?

Between 8% and 11%, set by how often your order comes — weekly saves the most. TheSubscribe & Save page has the full table.

Can I skip, pause or reschedule an order?

Yes, from your account, any time before the roast date. Skipping one delivery doesn't affect the rest of the schedule.

Can I change grind, size or frequency later?

All three, whenever you like, from your account. Change the grind when you change brew method, or stretch the frequency out if it's arriving faster than you're drinking it.

How do I cancel?

From your account in a couple of clicks — no notice period, no phone call. The formal terms are in our Subscriptions Policy and Refund Policy.

Can I subscribe to a single origin?

Not yet. Subscriptions run on the four house blends for now, because single origins rotate with what's in season.

Shipping & Returns

What does shipping cost?

Standard shipping is a flat $12.50 Australia-wide (Express $17.50). It's free on orders over $150 and free on every Subscribe & Save delivery. Full detail in the Shipping Policy.

Do you ship overseas?

Not at the moment — Australia only.

When will my order go out?

Orders are roasted and dispatched within a few business days. You'll get tracking by email when it leaves us. If it's been longer than that, tell us and we'll chase it.

Something arrived damaged or wrong.

Let us know within a reasonable time and we'll replace it or refund it. Photos help. The Refund & Returns Policy covers your rights in full, including under Australian Consumer Law.

Can I return coffee I simply didn't like?

Food products can't be resold, so change-of-mind returns aren't something we can offer on opened bags. Tell us what you didn't like though — we'd rather point you at a blend that suits than have you give up on us.

Where are you and when are you open?

Can I pick up an online order?

No — every online order is hot-air roasted to order and shipped straight to your door, so it arrives at its freshest instead of sitting on our shelf waiting to be collected. If you're local, drop into the café: this week's roast is always on the counter.

Do you supply cafés and offices?

We do. Use the contact form and pickWholesale / trade— it asks for your café name, suburb and rough volume so the first reply can carry pricing instead of questions.

What's the quickest way to reach a human?

Ring 0434 162 786. Best between 10am and 2pm — before that we're on the machine.
